Poisons, Murder, Satisfaction

Eleven sinister short stories by nine authors. Poison is the perfect choice for these satisfying murder scenarios. My short story, “Cross Purposes,” features the CID team of Taylor and Graham, as well as Mark Salt and Margo Lynch, all caught up in a custom prefacing Easter. The wife of a bakery owner is found dead on Good Friday, adding to the day’s grave feeling. “They say it always storms on Good Friday. That it is infamously ill-fated to do any type of work. That disturbing the soil even slightly spells misfortune. As I turned up my collar against the rain, I thought that two out of three wasn’t bad. It’d be at least a week until Alison’s grave was dug.”
